Anushka Rustomji Musa

Karachi and Lahore, Pakistan

Born in Karachi in 1989, Anushka Rustomji graduated from the National College of Arts in Lahore with a BFA in Painting. In her work, she deals with themes of duality and complexities in nature while investigating the symbolism in Eastern mythological beliefs. Through her practice, she delves into themes of superstition and our collective unconscious, which culminate into visually narrative paintings. She has exhibited her work on nationally and internationally at the SpinnereiGalerien (Leipzig), Lahore Literary Festival, Zahoor-Ul-Akhlaq gallery (Lahore), Indus Valley School gallery (Karachi), among others. She was a recent participant of the Pilotenkueche International Artist residency in Leipzig, Germany. She lives and practices in Lahore and teaches at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design.
