Baqer Ahmedi

Kabul, Afghanistan

Baqer Ahmadi was born in 1995 in Ghazni (a central province of Afghanistan). He spent his childhood as a shepherd on the mountain and desert which later on this experiment influenced his idea of community and communications. Ahmadi moved to Kabul, began his academic career in 2008. Although he raised as a self thought artist, in 2013, he was selected for the art prize by Turquoise Mountain (a non-governmental organization in Kabul). His main obsession as an artist is communications in community and the impact of our relations on our image. He had his first group exhibition in Queen Palace in 2013 and took his solo exhibition in Afghan Culture House in 2016. He is interested in stories, visual communications, and found objects.
