Razin Rubin

Karachi, Pakistan

Razin Rubin is a visual artist who was born in 1994 in Sukkur, Sindh, situated on the west bank of Indus. Rubin decided to study art and shifted to Karachi in 2013. She completed her BFA with distinction in thesis from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 2016, where she was awarded the IVS Founders Award 2016 for her efforts. Rubin has been exhibiting her works since graduation. She has exhibited her work extensively both locally and internationally. She also participated in two artists’ residencies, including ‘4th Sanat Residency’ at Sanat Initiative and ‘Taaza Tareen 9 – Regional Green Dialogues’ Artist Residency at Vasl Artists’ Association in collaboration with Henrich Boll Stiftung. She recently self-published a publication in collaboration with Merab Simon, ‘we only remember what home looked like’. Rubin is currently working part-time at Vasl Artists’ Association and is also a faculty member at the Imperial Tutorial College, Karachi.
