Statement
The new work that came out of the residency deals with the cityscape. The work relating to this subject matter includes drawing and photography.
As visual reference I have used symbolic patterns from our unceasingly mobile culture. For e.g. the gas station; these are standardized buildings whose very existence is generated by the motor vehicle which becomes a permanent part of our surroundings in whatever form they may take and represent ‘a point of pause’.
