VASL invited Ceramic Artist Kristine Michael from Delhi, India for a five week teaching residency at The Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture. During her stay in Karachi, Kristine visited the Kumhar Wada - The Potters Colony and Thatta - a city 100 kilometres from Karachi, famous for its pottery and other crafts.
Kristine also heped in building a salt kiln at the IVSAA. The visit culminated with a lecture and slide show attended by artists and students from all the art schools of Karachi, where Kristine shared with the audience, the work of her contemporaries in India.
