Lasbela is one of oldest districts of  the Baluchistan province.
The name Lasbela is derived from the words Las which signifies a plain, the greater part of the area being a flat plain, and Bela, the principle town of the district.

Gadani is situated 48 km north - west of Karachi across the Hub River. Gadani is one of the famous  ship - breaking yards in the world. Beyond Gadani lie a long stretch of sandy beaches with long lazy waves, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

Hingol Wildlife Reserve, the biggest National Park in Pakistan lies on the Markan coast 190 km from Karachi.

Hinglaj is a holy shrine, located about 120 km northwest of Karachi, on the banks of River Hingol at Makran, Baluchistan. The reputation of Hinglaj as a holy place precedes the Arab invasion and the advent of Sufism towards the Sindh region. Each year a grand cultural-fair is organized at this temple called “nani ka hajj’’. Muslim residents actively take part in this celebration. Just like Hindus they too worship the temple for their cultural rites and rituals.
