Making prints is a process that sometimes comes in a flash in the still of the night and sometimes it is something that has been in yourmind for a long time, just waiting to come out and manifest itself as a picture.Printmaking is a joyous process whereby you are engaging in more than one aesthjetic faculty at a time. For me,my prints come to me in a flash of aesthetic profusion and then I itch to get to the press. Because the technique is indirect, the result is often a few degrees removed from how I had concieved it. The charm lies in the surprise when you lift the wet paper off the plate for the first time... for invariably there is omething there that you have not put there but is there anyhow and if you let it...it moves you to the next step.
