Every soul leaves a mark, in this case literally. Living in a city like Karachi, we are surrounded by marks, smears and urban decay. There is a comfort in discomfort, life in abandonment, presence in absence and intersection within the parallel realities. This city morphed me into an individual who is an amalgamation of all its facets.
I work with the never-ending series of an act; the process of decay, how these marks take form over time. Exploring how people see this act as nothingness, a form of welcoming towards unacceptable scenes that surrounds us. Small actions that reflect a bigger picture: the urban culture. How the marks and excretion we're surrounded by is a living proof of the contradictions I see here. My research is about the curious process of the subconscious mind
