Aisha Bashir (b.1992) holds a Bachelor’s degree in fine Arts from National College of Arts, Lahore (2016) and is currently pursuing her M.Phil in Art and Design from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (2024 – present). Her work has been exhibited nationally, and internationally at focal point, Sharjah & Art Depot, Jaipur. She participated in Vasl Residency, Taaza Tareen 2020, and Fragile Heritage Ecology, Laajverd 2021.
Her work comments on the complexities and nuances of interpersonal relationships which she experiences in her life, the tenderness and coarseness, and how they scale up to represent the cultural and communal norms of society. Observing her intimate relations and emotions, she knits together works that reflect upon that which is universally human.
