Language may either constrict and separate or open up and bring closer. It may be a tool for control and domination or a portal to go beyond boundaries. Poetry, as the triumph of metaphor over a dominating use of language allows the latter – an embodied experience of our boundless nature that exists on both sides of the boundaries we ascribe to our souls.

Join Habib Afsar for this poetry writing session in which we explore our names, the limitations and possibilities thereof, and the boundless nature of our souls. You do not need any prior writing skills whatsoever- even better if you don’t! We will draw, write and perform our poems as a celebration of our existence.
