Vasl KKAF-Canvas Research Grant

Launched in 2017, The Khurram Kasim Art Foundation (KKAF) -Vasl Research Grant is a non-for-profit organisation that supports and funds talented emerging artists who demonstrate artistic merit, commitment to their creative practice and show a keen interest in engaging and building ties with the community. The year-long grant supports artists in research and in creation of original works. They are also awarded a solo show at the prestigious Canvas Gallery in Karachi. Artists are chosen from amongst Vasl’s annual Taaza Tareen residency.

Since 2018, KKAF has annually sponsored the year-long Vasl Research Grant.

Since 2019, the Canvas Gallery has been showcasing the works produced by the KKAF-Vasl Research Grant recipient artist.
