Farrah Mahmood Rana is a distinguished visual artist and academic renowned for her expertise in Asian miniature painting, particularly in the Mughal style of the Subcontinent.A graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore, and holding a Master’s in Art Education from BeaconHouse National University, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Design at COMSATS University, Islamabad, where she also founded the COMSATS Art Gallery in 2011.
Her work, which addresses socio-political issues with an emphasis on peace and humanity, has been featured in over 160 national and international exhibitions, including solo shows and group displays in the USA, UK, Canada, Austria, France, China, and more.
Farrah’s accolades include the President’s Award for Pride of Performance (March 2024), the Excellence Award from BeaconHouse National University (December 2023), and the Charles Wallace Visiting Fellowship Award (UK), among others. Her art is part of prestigious collections at institutions such as the World Bank, the National Art Gallery, and the Parliament House of Pakistan.
