Hurmat Ul Ain is an interdisciplinary artist and art educator. She is a PhD candidate with the Theatre & Performance Studies program at York University. She holds an MFA in Performance Art from School of Art Institute Chicago where she was studying as a Fulbright Scholar. Ain is interested in discourse on body and representation of body in Media and Arts. Through her practice, she explores image, and gender roles in context of socio-political rules of acceptability and sacrilege. Her solo and collaborative work with Rabbya Naseer has been showcased widely on the international art forums in US, UK, Germany, Spain, Dubai, China, Australia, Hong Kong, India, and Pakistan.
