Navin Hyder is a visual artist who trained as a painter and a miniaturist. She was awarded a BFA from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi in 2000 where she continued as faculty in the Department of Fine Arts. At the same time she exhibited in numerous group and solo shows nationally and some of the work produced between 2000 and 2004 was acquired by the Devi Art Foundation in India. She was also awarded the Gasworks Artists Residency in 2005.
After moving to Ireland in 2008 she took a break from a very focused visual art practice to exploring connections between the arts and other fields. She was the first artist in residence at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin from 2019 to 2022 and was one of the artist representatives for the national website for arts and health in Ireland from 2023 to 2024.
