South Asian International Artists’ Residency

The  residency took place in Karachi,Pakistan at the Rangoonwala Center with studios at the VM Art Gallery. The two international artists invited were Sunil Sigdel from Nepal and Mahmudur Rahman from Bangladesh alongside Abdul Jabbar Gull from Pakistan. Over the course of this residency, the artists explored political and cultural boundaries in the South Asian region and brought together a body of work which examined how art can overcome both similarities and differences in identity and citizenship.
