Layeba Salman (b. 2001) completed her bachelors in fine arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2025, majoring in painting. Her studio practice focuses on the relationship between the material and the immaterial, aiming to examine the ways in which visual language can add to the dialogue between the two.
Since graduating her work has been displayed at O art space, Lahore, Numaishgah, Lahore, Tagheer, Lahore, Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore, Gallery6, Islamabad, Art Lane, Karachi and Mainframe, Karachi. Her work from the show “Don’t Tell The Rabbit” was featured in Nigaah Art Magazine. More recently, her piece “Khaaki” was shortlisted for Arjumand Painting Awards 2025. Layeba currently lives and works in Karachi and is working as the assistant project coordinator at Vasl Artists’ Association.
