Sajid Khan
Rawalpindi, Pakistan
Born in Malakand in 1984, he currently lives and works in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
He graduated from National College of Arts, Lahore, with a Distinction in Miniature painting in 2011 from the Department of Fine Arts; he also previously completed his bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Department of Fine Arts, University of Peshawar, in 2008. He is currently working as a Lecturer in the Miniature Department at NCA Rawalpindi, alongside his artistic practice. He has previously worked as a CG artist at Game View studio Lahore for one year, and worked as a freelance Graphic Designer.
His work was selected from Pakistan for ‘Flying’ exhibition in Germany. His work has been displayed in Germany, UK, and Pakistan.
He trained as a Miniature painter. Human figures, pop references, candy colors and playful paradoxes are almost entirely absent from the gray-toned landscapes and skyscapes. His works have been collected by various national and international collectors. He has been shown in various group shows. He also partook in a residency at SANAT (Karachi) in June 2014.
