Seher Naveed is a Karachi-based artist with over a decade of experience in visual arts and academia. Her work explores the socio-political shifts in Karachi through architecture, examining the city’s evolving landscape and its impact on daily life. She views architecture as a reflection of societal aspirations and tensions, focusing on how the city’s topography, shaped by political instability, is divided by physical barriers such as walls, gates, and fences.

Naveed holds a BFA from the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture (2007) and an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London (2009). She is currently an Associate Professor at IVS and co-director of the Urban Repository Archive (URA), a project preserving student research on Karachi’s evolving conditions. Her work has been showcased in various local and international galleries.
