MANIZHE ALI:

Manizhe is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indus Valley and a Master of Visual and Media Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin. She has contributed to Pakistan’s arts and media sector by working at Indus Vision, Geo TV, and the KaraFilm Festival, and she was chosen for the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2010. Manizhe has directed film and media departments at prestigious institutions and now teaches at the Karachi Film School. Her work as a curator and jewelry designer combines art with functionality and has
been exhibited both locally and internationally. She also consults for the newly launched textile museum in Karachi, The Haveli.
RAASMIA HAQUE:
TheSideProject has been born as a creative offshoot, a small label and offspace that fosters artistic expression with its unique blend of architecture and design. TheSideProject offers unconventional ideas, minimal and bold designs made in-house. All designs are produced under the care and expertise of artisanal craftsmanship, tracing all its steps proudly in Pakistan. Currently the label offers a small and carefully curated range of handcrafted shoes.
Raasmia is both an architect and footwear designer based in Karachi, Pakistan. Haque has been formally trained in her disciplines at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi, at Polimoda in Florence, Italy, and at the University of Arts London. Haque’s persistent interest to design fresh and novel products have encouraged her to open doors to a venture of her curiosities: TheSideProject.
