Anum Ashraf is a Karachi based visual artist and art educator. Working in watercolors, she investigates themes of rest, observation, and the natural world. Her paintings privilege mood and materiality over literal representation, using diffuse pigment and restrained color to evoke contemplation. Recent works including `Perch`, `Solace`, `Holding Still` and ‘Natures Tapestry’ propose stillness as a practice — an invitation to witness the quiet intervals in everyday life. She is interested in how art can function as a site for sustained attention and emotional refuge.

Anum holds a BFA degree from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. She had exhibited at locally and abroad at various art biennales and art galleries, including her solo ‘Safe Haven’ in 2018.
