Dua Azeem is an Interdisciplinary artist based in Karachi, Pakistan, and a graduate of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (2024). Her practice spans drawing, sculpture, and kinetic forms, examining how memory settles into surfaces and resonates through spaces shaped by time, touch, and absence. Working primarily with pen, she renders furniture, architectural fragments, and decorative motifs to reveal traces of lived histories. Her objects occupy the threshold between presence and erasure, reflecting on impermanence, movement, and inherited gestures. Engagements with traditional craftsmanship inform her exploration of repetition, material, and narrative.

She was selected as an Artist-in-Residence at ArtFest, Sambara Gallery—an initiative of the Culture Department, Government of Sindh, curated by Mahreen Zuberi—where she developed a research-based installation culminating in an artist talk and presentation.

Azeem has exhibited across Pakistan, including Vasl Artists’ Association, Numaish Gah, Alhamra Art Gallery, and Art Fest Karachi. Her work is held in significant public and private collections, including the HBL Foundation and the collection of internationally acclaimed filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
